Veteran’s Day Assembly at Willow Creek School

On Friday, November 10th, the students at Willow Creek held an all-school assembly to honor the men and women that served in the armed forces. Veteran's Day is an important day for all of us. We all need to remember the commitment and sacrifices that men and women gave so that our great country could have rights and freedoms. The assembly was led by the student council officers who shared a slideshow presentation that explained the history of Veterans Day. The 5th and 6th grade chorus students sang a medley of songs that represented all of the armed forces. The assembly concluded with students presenting flowers and a flag to their family members who were veterans. After the assembly the special guests had a reception where they met with representatives from the Honor Flight program along with light refreshments. We are proud of our veterans and the students of Willow Creek did an amazing job of recognizing and showing these men and women their appreciation for their service to this country.
