The GO FLY A KITE KITE FESTIVAL sponsored by the Wheaton Park District, Gift of Wings and Giftofwings.com, and the Wheaton Eye Clinic, will take place in Graf Park in Wheaton, 1855 Manchester Rd from 10 am until 1 pm.&nbsp; The Grand Launch will take place at 11:00 am, with the Wheaton Eye Clinic Kids Mad Dash taking place at 12:00 pm.&nbsp; The first 35 kids that sign up and participate will receive a FREE kite compliments of the Wheaton Eye Clinic.&nbsp; Gift of Wings will be featuring the Badger Dream team flying the Giant Kites, some over 100 feet long.&nbsp; Gift of Wings will be selling kites for this great event.&nbsp; Food Trucks will be on-site!&nbsp; Now, come over to Graf Park and GO FLY A KITE!

Market on Canal is an outdoor vintage +&nbsp;handmade vendor market put on by Mabel’s Market in the heart of downtown Lemont. Over 60 incredible vendors set are set up along the historic I&amp;M Canal featuring antique treasures, fresh flowers, baked goods, jewelry, woodworking and more. One of the nation’s most impactful Catholic youth gatherings, the Steubenville Joliet Youth Conference, will return to Benedictine University in Lisle, Illinois, from June 26–28, 2026. Hosted in partnership with the Diocese of Joliet, Franciscan University of Steubenville, and Partnership for Youth, the conference will welcome thousands of high school teens for a transformative weekend of worship, dynamic speakers, and sacramental encounters.
The Steubenville Youth Conferences—held at 19 locations across North America—exist to evangelize, equip, and empower young people to become joyful disciples of Christ. The Joliet conference is one of the region’s most anticipated summer faith events.
The Steubenville Conference Experience
Over the three‑day weekend, teens and their group leaders will participate in:

The West Suburban Community Pantry (WSCP) will host a Drive-Thru Mobile Food Pantry on Tuesday, May 5 from 4pm - 5pm at New Hope Baptist Church. This Drive-Thru Mobile Pantry offers individuals and families free food and grocery items, including fresh meat, bread, eggs, produce and household items (items may vary).
