Woman Hit By Car, Killed On Halloween In Woodridge

WOODRIDGE, IL - A woman was hit by a car and killed Tuesday night at the intersection of Route 53 and High Trail Drive in Woodridge. Police in the village said they found the woman seriously injured on the north side of the intersection at 7:49 p.m. and that she later died from her injuries at Edward Hospital.

The driver of the vehicle that hit her immediately pulled over and helped, police said. The Lisle-Woodridge Fire District and the DuPage County FIAT assisted at the scene.

The identity of the woman has not been released as of Wednesday night. Authorities in Woodridge confirmed she was an adult.

No charges have been filed.
