Woman Sues After Falling at Woodgrove Festival Shopping Center

The lawsuit alleges negligence, improper maintenance, that there was no warning and carelessness in creating the walkway.

A woman is suing over claims that she fell and was injured in June 2013 in the parking lot of Woodgrove Festival Shopping Center in Woodridge.

Pamela Kost of Tinley Park filed a lawsuit in Cook County against Woodgrove Festival 563 LLC, Kimco Realty Corp. of Chicago and KRCX Illinois Realty LLC of Delaware, according to the Cook County Record.

Kost claims in the suit she stepped on a raised portion of concrete while getting out of her car, causing her to fall and land on her side. She alleges negligence, improper maintenance, that there was no warning and carelessness in creating the walkway, the Record reported.

She is asking for damages of more than $50,000, plus attorneys’ fees and costs.
