Woman Sues Downers Grove Jewel-Osco After Slip and Fall

A woman is suing over claims that she slipped on a substance on the floor of a Jewel-Osco grocery store in Downers Grove.

Irma Gilley filed a lawsuit in Cook County against Jewel Food Stores for the incident at the Jewel-Osco at 6215 Main St., Downers Grove, according to the Cook County Record.

Gilley claims in the suit that she fell and was permanently injured Aug. 17, 2013. She alleges negligence, and she’s asking for damages in excess of $50,000, plus costs.
