The Woodridge 11u Bulldogs have won the elite division of the West Suburban Baseball League for the second year in a row. “Our goal was always to repeat as WSBL champions and this year was even sweeter because of some of the adversities we overcame as a team”, Coach Brian Jarvis said. He continued on to say: “We had some key injuries during the season but all of our players stepped up when needed to win. Our pitching was outstanding and everyone played to the best of their ability. These boys have an emotional connection with each other and when a group of people care about one another this much, adversity will always be outmatched.”
The Woodridge Bulldogs went 13-2 in division play during the season, and were the 2nd seed going into the tournament. They won four straight to capture the championship. The same team won the elite division last year as the 10 year old team.
