Woodridge Businesses Can Apply for Video Gaming Licenses

Up to eight licenses will be available.

The Woodridge Village Board approved an ordinance June 4 that created a process for Woodridge businesses to apply for a video gaming license.

To apply for a license, businesses must meet several criteria:

  • Hold an existing A-1 or A-3 liquor license for a minimum of 12 months.
  • Meet minimum square footage requirements as outlined in the approved ordinance.
  • Hold a valid State of Illinois video gaming license.
  • Conduct restaurant services as their primary business, with meals prepared within an on premise kitchen.

The fees for licensing include an annual $500 fee and an annual $250 fee per video gaming terminal.

State and local regulations apply, which includes physical monitoring of video gaming areas at all times by an employee over the age of 21 years old.
