Woodridge Cops Issue 45 Traffic Citations On Halloween
The village's crackdown was part of a statewide effort to keep children and drivers safe.

WOODRIDGE, IL --- Woodridge Police issued nearly four dozen tickets on Halloween as part of their annual seasonal crackdown. Between Oct. 26 and Nov. 1, the village gave out a total of 30 violations for child safety seats.
Police say they added extra patrols at nighttime, when the the majority of deaths from driving without a safety belt or driving under the influence take place.
This year's Halloween Enforcement initiative was part of the ongoing "Click It or Ticket" and "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" campaigns throughout Illinois.
