Woodridge Haunted Forest Walk: Hair-Raising Hike For The Whole Family
The Woodridge Haunted Forest Walk will take place on Friday, October 20, and Saturday, October 21, at 2600 Center Drive.

WOODRIDGE, IL — Halloween is fast approaching, so if your kids are going batty with excitement, you'll be relieved to know that Woodridge has planned some fun, family-friendly events to celebrate the holiday. On Friday, October 20, kids and their parents can take part in the Woodridge Haunted Forest Hike, which offers all-ages frights along some of the most "terrifying" trails in the Woodridge Park District.
Before the eerie excursion, brave hikers can gather at the Woodridge Park District Community Center for a fun hayride to the harrowing Hawthorne Hill Woods. The all-ages hike winds past "scary scenes" and is made even more terrifying with ghost stories and the occasional "evil spirits," according to the park district's website.
The Haunted Forest Hike includes treks after dark from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday. On Saturday, a 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. time slot is available and recommended for children 9 and under at their parents' discretion.
