Woodridge Man, 72, Dead After Going Under In Lake Michigan: Report

WOODRIDGE, IL — A Woodridge man died Sunday after lifeguards found him submerged in seven feet of water at Lake Michigan at Indiana Dunes State Park, according to Chicago Tribune.

Around 10:30 a.m., a lifeguard saw that Kirshnaraju Rudraraju had gone under the water and had not come back up to the surface. The lifeguard alerted a rescue team, who found Rudraraju about 100 feet from the lake's shore.

Rudraraju was given CPR and rushed to a nearby hospital, where he later died.
