Woodridge Man Allegedly Bit Cop In Face, Had Meth Pipe: Report
Antonio Rome, 50, has been charged with attempts to disarm a peace officer, aggravated battery, and other counts.

WOODRIDGE, IL — A Woodridge man is in custody after he allegedly attacked a cop and bit him in the face Wednesday, according to Chicago Tribune. Antonio Rome, 50, of the 2300 block of Vista Dr., has been charged with aggravated battery, attempting to disarm a peace or correctional officer, resisting or obstructing a police officer causing injury, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, DuPage County Sheriff's Office records show.
Woodridge Police would not provide details of Rome's arrest, but a spokesperson told Patch Rome was taken into custody following a "violent altercation." They said a police report should be ready early next week.
During the altercation, Rome allegedly hit, bit, and tried to disarm a police officer, Chicago Tribune reports. He also allegedly had a methamphetamine pipe in his possession at the time.

Rome is currently being held on $35,500 bond at the DuPage County Jail.
