Woodridge Park District Marketing Project Awarded First Place

A wall wrap designed by the Woodridge Park District championing good sportsmanship recently received first place at a state conference.

A wall wrap designed by the Woodridge Park District championing good sportsmanship recently received first place in the large marketing category of the Illinois Park and Recreation Association’s (IPRA) Agency Showcase Competition. Designed by Colleen Harrigan, the park district’s graphic designer, the wrap is located in the hallway near the turf field of the Woodridge Park District’s Athletic Recreation Center (ARC). It sends a powerful message to parents and spectators about sportsmanship, encouraging them to “Let the players play, let the coaches coach, let the officials officiate and let the spectators cheer.”

Staff accepted the award at the IPRA state conference on January 18. Over 200 marketing submissions from 52 member organizations from around the state participated in this year's competition which recognizes excellence in communications, marketing, and design.
