Woodridge Pizzerias Take Part In 'Pizza Wars' In Downers Grove
Sample pizza from nine area pizzerias to help crown the winner of "best pizza." Proceeds will benefit Downers North and South.
WOODRIDGE, IL — Some Woodridge pizzerias will go head-to-head for a good cause at part of the "Pizza Wars" fundraiser at Downers Grove South High School. Bring your appetite to this special event, which takes place on March 1, from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. to help benefit Downers Grove North and South High Schools.
Guests can sample pizza from nine different restaurants based in Woodridge, Westmont, and Downers Grove. Participating pizzerias include:
- L&F Pizza
- Lou Malnati's
- Nancy's
- NY Pizza Pie
- Olive Theory
- Papa's Pizza Place
- Skuddlebutt's
- Tortorice's
- Wood Grain
The pizza sampling portion of the event will wrap up at 7:15 p.m. and the winner will be crowned at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 at the door. Guests can also buy tickets in advance for just $10 at the Pizza Wars web page.
