Woodridge Police Give 137 Seat Belt Tickets During Special Enforcement
The Woodridge Police Department joined the Click It or Ticket seat belt enforcement mobilization.

The Woodridge Police Department joined other state and local law enforcement agencies across Illinois in the Click It or Ticket seat belt enforcement mobilization.
During the mobilization from May 11-25, Woodridge Police issued:
- 137 seat belt citations
- 12 child safety seat citations
- 2 fugitives apprehended
- 4 suspended/revoked licenses
- 11 uninsured motorists
- 11 speeding citations
- 13 distracted driving violations
In Illinois, children are required to be in a car seat or booster seat until at least age 8, and all children younger than 13 should ride in the back seat.
