Woodridge Police Increase DUI Patrol For Halloween

Police also advise motorists to report impaired drivers by calling 911.

WOODRIDGE, IL -- Woodridge police are planning to increase patrols in the days leading up to and on Halloween. The police department issued a press release to remind drivers to use extra caution when kids are out trick-or-treating for the holiday.

Police in Woodridge say they will do their part to keep kids safe on Halloween by "cracking down on impaired driving" as part of the ongoing "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" campaign. Deputy Chief Tom Stefanson said in a statement, "If you know you’re partying this Halloween, make sure you designate a sober driver to get you home safely."

Motorists are advised to get a designated driver or use a ride share app if they plan on drinking. If you see an impaired driver, police advise you to contact 911 immediately.
