Woodridge Police Reports: Property Damage, Theft, DUI

The Woodridge Police Department reported crimes and arrests through May 8

The following information is courtesy of the Woodridge Police Department.

A theft occurred at approximately 11:30 a.m. May 1 at the GFS Marketplace on 87th Street. An unknown person removed a purse from an unattended shopping cart.

A theft of license plate was reported May 1 in the 7300 block of Woodward Avenue. An unknown person removed the rear license plate of a parked vehicle.

At approximately 7:56 p.m. May 1, Guadalupe Delgado, age 36 of the 600 block of Nez Perce Court, Carol Stream, was charged with aggravated battery, driving under the influence of alcohol, possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop at Woodridge Drive at Roberts Drive.

A theft occurred sometime between midnight and 7 a.m. May 2 in the 6600 block of Woodridge Drive. Someone removed an unattended iPhone.

At approximately 11:57 a.m. May 2, Vivian Niestrom, age 18 of the 300 block of Cliff Court, Lisle, was charged with retail theft after removing miscellaneous items of jewelry from Kohl’s on 75th Street without paying.

A theft of a wallet occurred at approximately 12:49 p.m. May 2 at Kohl’s on 75th Street. Someone picked up and took a wallet that had fallen to the floor from a patron’s pocket.

At approximately 1:30 a.m. May 3, Juan Francisco-Moreno, age 26 of the 100 block of Pinecrest, Bolingbrook, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, leaving the scene of a property damage accident and driving while license suspended following the investigation of a traffic accident at Waterbury Drive and Janes Avenue.

A criminal defacement of property occurred sometime between noon May 2 and 8:30 a.m. May 3 at Cypress Cove Water Park on Janes Avenue. Someone splattered paint across the rear of a building on the pool deck.

A theft from motor vehicle occurred sometime between 4:30 p.m. May 1 and 6 a.m. May 4 at Advanced Telecomm Solutions on Rising Court. Someone removed building supplies from a parked company pick-up truck.
