Woodridge Police Reports: Retail Theft, DUI, Drug Possession

The following information is courtesy of the Woodridge Police Department.

At approximately 4:17 p.m. March 13, Aleesha Govan, age 22 of the 1400 block of Comanche Drive, Bolingbrook, was charged with possession of cannabis with intent to deliver and possession of cannabis following a traffic stop in the 8200 block of Janes Avenue.

At approximately 7:37 p.m. March 13, Alejandro Ley, age 18 of the 5800 block of Main Street, Downers Grove, was charged with possession of cannabis and driving while license suspended following a traffic stop at Oakwood Lane at Oakwood Court.

A criminal damage to vehicle occurred sometime between March 15 at 10 p.m. and March 16 at 7 a.m. in the 6800 block of Woodridge Drive. Unknown person slashed the tires of a parked vehicle.

An unknown person spray painted a US Postal Service mailbox located in the 7000 block of Buckingham.

A criminal damage to vehicle occurred sometime between 9:30pm on March 15 and 2:30 a.m. on March 16 in the 7900 block of Everglade Avenue. Unknown person punctured the tires of a parked vehicle.

At approximately 4:30 p.m. March 17, Kelsey McCartney, age 22 of the 100 block of S. Washington Street, Westmont, was charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop , Joliet Road at Internationale.

At approximately 3:05 p.m. March 18, Carly McGinn, age 31 of the 7300 block of Winthrop Way, Downers Grove, was charged with felony possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop at Woodward Avenue at Wheeler Drive.

A retail theft occurred at approximately 5:45 p.m. March 21 at Kohl’s, 1001 75th Street. Two unknown males removed miscellaneous items without paying.

At approximately 10:53 p.m. March 21, Blane Hansberger, age 52 of the 1000 block of Kent Court, Wheaton, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol following a traffic stop at Route 53 at 71st Street.

At approximately 11:05 p.m. March 21, Gary Morris, age 57 of 10th Street, Peru, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol following a traffic stop at Lemont Road at 83rd Street.

At approximately 11:07 p.m. March 21, Brandon Duda, age 20 of the 6000 block of Maple Drive, Westmont, was charged with criminal damage to property and battery. Christopher Peterson, age 19 of the 6800 block of Camden Road, Downers Grove, was charged with unlawful use of a weapon and aggravated assault following an altercation in the 2300 block of 75th Street.

At approximately 2:03 a.m. March 22, Tyler Felski, age 24 of the 13500 block of Kalamazoo Court, Plainfield, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding and improper lane usage following a traffic stop in the 7700 block of Woodward Avenue.

At approximately 8:32 a.m. March 24, Dane Wilkins, age 26 of the 200 block of Valle Vista Court, Minooka, was charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop in the 7600 block of Route 53.

At approximately 10:19 p.m. March 24, Gabriel Garcia-Garcia, age 38 of the 300 block of Perry Street, Elgin, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while license suspended following a traffic stop in the 2600 block of 75th Street.

At approximately 4:45 p.m. March 25, Steven Baker, age 38 of the 200 block of Monroe Drive, Bolingbrook, was charged with retail theft after removing a pair of shoes from Kohl’s, 1001 75th Street, without paying.

At approximately 3:26 p.m. March 26, Derek Lasini, age 26 of River Drive, Naperville, was charged with retail theft after removing items of clothing from Kohl’s, 1001 75th Street, without paying.
