Woodridge Police Reports: Slashed Tires, Gas Theft, Graffiti

The Woodridge Police Department reported crimes and arrests through July 31.

A criminal damage to vehicle occurred sometime between midnight and 7 a.m. July 24 in the 2500 block of Cedar Hill Lane. Someone used construction bricks to shatter the front windshield and back window of a parked vehicle.

Criminal damage to three vehicles occurred July 24 in the 7800 block of Woodridge Drive. Someone slashed the tires of three vehicles which had been parked on the street.

A theft occurred at approximately 5 p.m. July 24 in the 7300 block of Woodward Ave. Someone removed an iPhone which had been left unattended in a shopping cart.

A criminal damage to vehicle occurred sometime between noon July 24 and 10:30 a.m. July 25 in the 7300 block of Woodward Avenue. Someone scratched the driver’s side of a parked vehicle.

A theft of gasoline occurred at approximately 12:40 p.m. July 26 at Thornton’s Gas Station, 2401 63rd St. Someone pumped $35.94 of gasoline and left without paying.

A criminal damage to vehicle occurred sometime between 6 a.m. July 25 and 9 a.m. July 27 in the 2600 block of Meadowdale Lane. Someone damaged the hood of a parked vehicle.

A criminal damage to vehicle occurred July 27 in the 8100 block of Waterbury Drive. Someone slashed all four tires of a parked vehicle.

A criminal damage to vehicle occurred sometime between 10 p.m. July 27 and 6:10 a.m. July 28 in the 2600 block of Zurich Court. Someone used a rock to shatter the windshield of a parked vehicle.

A criminal damage to vehicle occurred sometime between 9 p.m. July 27 and 8 a.m. July 28 in the 2400 block of Forest Drive. Someone used a rock to shatter the windshield and scratch and dent the hood of a parked vehicle.

A criminal damage to vehicle occurred sometime between 8 p.m. July 2 and 6 p.m. July 30 in the 2500 block of Forest Drive. Someone spray painted graffiti on a parked vehicle.

At approximately 9:44 p.m. July 30, Garnett Vaughn, age 33 of the 2600 block of Burr Ridge Court, Woodridge, was charged with drunken driving following the investigation of a traffic accident in the 7900 block of Woodridge Drive.

A criminal damage to property occurred sometime between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. July 30 in the 2300 block of 75th Street. Someone slashed the front, driver’s side tire of a parked vehicle.
