Woodridge Police To Take Part In Polar Plunge
Donate to help Woodridge Police support Illinois Special Olympics at the Polar Plunge.

WOODRIDGE, IL — The Woodridge Police Department plans to jump into freezing water for a good cause as part of the 2018 Polar Plunge SUPER Plunge. The event spans 24 hours from Feb. 16 to Feb. 17, with brave jumpers plunging into the water once every hour to benefit Illinois Special Olympics.
To participate in the plunge, the Woodridge Police Department must reach its donation goal, which has been set at $7,000. As of Friday, they had raised more than $5,000.
This year's roster for the Woodridge PD Frozen Flatfoots includes team captain Daniel McIntyre, Paula Schoon, Jim Wagner, James Swidergal, and Chris and Delaney Bethel.

Residents can donate to the cause at the Woodridge SUPER Plunge Team Page to help support special Olympics. Attend the Feb. 16 event for a chance to watch some of Woodridge's finest as they freeze their tails off for a good cause!
