Woodridge Public Library Board Appoints New Trustee

Woodridge resident Christopher Tripp was appointed to the Library Board of Trustees at the regular meeting of the Woodridge Public Library Board on Wednesday, July 19. Mr. Tripp will fill the remainder of the term vacated by well-respected board member Patrick McDonnell, who will no longer be residing in the Village of Woodridge.

Known for his support of the Library Art Gallery, as well as his focus on the library building as an aesthetically pleasing space for the Woodridge Community, Mr. McDonnell served as a Trustee for nearly 10 years.

Mr. Tripp is a former Woodridge Library Trustee with over 30 years of service. He is returning to the Board after a brief hiatus. As Board Treasurer for 13 years he took on many financial responsibilities, playing an important role in the Library’s 2015 renovation project.

The Trustee position—left by McDonnell and filled by Tripp—will expire in April 2019, at which time the seat will be part of the Illinois Consolidated General Election.
