WOODRIDGE, IL — The Woodridge Sam's Club store is set to close by the end of June, displacing more than 100 employees. The store was closed for business all day Wednesday, when managers told employees the location would close in the coming weeks, according to Daily Herald.
The last day of business for the Sam's Club at 7300 Woodward Avenue will be June 30. In the meantime, the retailer will operate with limited hours. The adjusted hours will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., according to Daily Herald.
Amy Wyatt-Moore, a spokesperson for Sam's Club, told Daily Herald that Woodridge Sam's Club store closure came after careful consideration. She added that employees will be given 60 days paid notice, along with severance pay. The company is working to relocate affected employees to other Sam's Club or Walmart stores in the region.
