Woodridge SD68 Financial Issues and Concerns

Response to Woodridge School District Board of Education

I wish to thank all those who have sent me such kind cards, letters and e-mails wishing me well and showing support. It has been a very difficult time for me and my family. Your kind words mean more to us than you could possibly realize. For those who felt it necessary to send these wishes anonymously, I want you to know that I understand your fear of speaking out publicly. I also want you to know that you are larger in number than you may believe.

To those who shared their own stories of being threatened and intimidated, I want you to know that your voices will be heard. The truth is often easy to understand once it is discovered. This would apply to superintendents that are appointed to positions beyond their depth and arrogant administrators who lack the temperament and humility to lead.

To the Board of Education who recently distributed a letter to parents regarding transparency, available on the District web site, I would ask that you start thinking for yourselves. I have made no "false accusations" or "baseless attacks". Further, I have not "lashed out" with any "unfounded accusations". I raised serious financial issues as Treasurer to the Board of Education. Rather than discussing these issues with me, the person you appointed to oversee the finances of the District, you ignored me and then allowed an administration to orchestrate a campaign of deceit, falsehoods and misstatements to target and retaliate against me for the raising of these issues. To suggest anything else is "unconscionable" and "mean-spirited". I would ask that you please stop questioning my integrity. If you truly believe nothing was done wrong regarding these issues I have raised, you should feel quite comfortable with the community hearing my concerns and allowing them to draw their own conclusions regarding my character and credibility vs. the Board's purported interest in financial oversight and transparency.
