Is Your Child Car Seat Safe? Woodridge, Lisle PD Host Free Inspection Event

WOODRIDGE, IL — The Woodridge and Lisle Police Departments are teaming up to host a free event to help promote child car seat safety in the community. Officers who are trained as car seat technicians will be present at the event to inspect car seats and to teach parents tips and tricks of car seat safety and installation.

The Woodridge Police Department urges parents to attend the event and use car seats and boosters to protect babies and infants during car crashes, which are still a leading cause of death for children under the age of 14. This inspection event will help families make sure they are choosing a safe and proper car seat for their children.

The Child Car Seat Inspection will be held Saturday September 23 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Cypress Cove, which is located at 8301 South Janes Avenue in Woodridge. No appointment is necessary and there is no charge to attend the event.
