51-Year-Old Plano Man Dies in Yorkville Motorcycle Crash

A 51-year-old man has died after a motorcycle crash that occurred on Fox Rd. in Yorkville, according to a release from the Kane County Coroner’s Office.

John Kaegebein, of Plano, was traveling westbound on his motorcycle on Fox Road when a minivan driven by a 32-year-old Plano woman collided with him, according to a release from the Yorkville Police Department. Kaegebein was pronounced deceased at 6:28 p.m. Oct. 6 after being taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora.

Also injured in the crash was a 10-year-old girl who was a passenger in the minivan.

The exact cause of death is under investigation by the coroner’s office. An autopsy was performed Oct. 7 and is pending further investigation. Toxicology samples were sent to a forensic lab for analysis.
