Person In Crisis Near Silver Springs State Park: Sheriff Investigation

YORKVILLE, IL — The “active incident” Tuesday afternoon near Silver Springs State Park resolved safely and peacefully, the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputies were to Fox Road in front of the park in Yorkville for a person in crisis around 1:45 p.m.

“As of now, the situation is contained, and there is no immediate public safety threat,” officials originally wrote on Facebook.

The incident was resolved by 2:40 p.m.

Plano and Yorkville police officers assisted the sheriff’s office at the park.
