• Yorkville District 115 going for $159 million bond referendum on November ballot (shawlocal.com) — Yorkville School District 115 is asking voters this November to approve a $159 million, tax-neutral bond referendum to build a new middle school and elementary school and close some older buildings. District leaders say the plan tackles severe overcrowding while keeping tax rates flat, and they're holding town halls, including one at Yorkville Middle School, to explain the details and tradeoffs.
• Yorkville: Single-family home sells for $420,000 (shawlocal.com) — A newly built single-family home on Gould Court in Yorkville sold this month for $420,000, offering three bedrooms, two baths, and a two-car garage. Several nearby homes on Kellogg Court and Gains Court also changed hands recently, giving residents a snapshot of current neighborhood prices and trends.
