• Yorkville High School all-class reunion plans more music, food and fun in its 10th year (shawlocal.com) — Yorkville High School alumni and community members can mark their calendars for the free all-class reunion on Saturday, Sept. 26, at the Go For It Sports Dome in Yorkville, featuring live music, food trucks, games, and memorabilia. Organizers expect more than 400 attendees and will showcase decades of Yorkville Fox yearbooks, jerseys, and keepsakes to celebrate shared school spirit. Donations help keep the volunteer-run event going.
   

• DeKalb County 2026 volleyball previews: Team-by-team capsules (shawlocal.com) — DeKalb County volleyball teams are gearing up for the 2026 season, with coaches highlighting returning standouts, key newcomers, and hopes for deeper postseason runs.
