KENDALL COUNTY, IL — The Kendall County Sheriff's Office turned to the community Wednesday as it continues investigating the July 29 head-on collision that killed one man and injured a woman and children.

Hoffmann, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene. The Kendall County Coroner's Office determined his cause of death to be blunt force injuries due to a crash.

The occupants of the eastbound vehicle, a 38-year-old woman and two children, were hospitalized with significant injuries.

" We would like to speak with anyone who saw what happened or anyone who may have stopped to assist the people involved," the sheriff's office said in an alert Wednesday.
