Armed Robber Poses As Online Seller: Yorkville Police
Plus, multiple juveniles hospitalized after crash and a vicious dog citation.

Feb. 5: Windows were shattered overnight at a business in the 200 block of South Bridge Street. Two other windows at the same business were damaged in a similar way over the last month and a half but no one contacted police in those cases, according to a police report.
Feb. 5: Yorkville police responded to a two-vehicle crash at Route 47 and Route 126, in which the driver of a Buick attempted to stop behind a Dodge Journey but lost control and slid into the Dodge. Both vehicles were towed from the scene and the driver of the Doge, 30-year-old Terra D. Eplin of the 2300 block of Aux Sable Road in Morris, was arrested on charges of driving on a suspended license and no insurance, police said.
Feb. 4: Multiple juveniles were transported to the hospital after a two-vehicle crash near the intersection of routes 34 and 47. The crash occurred when a Buick Verano could not stop on snow-covered roads and went through a red light, colliding with a Hyundai Tucson. Both vehicles were towed, and the driver of the Buick, Rennee L. Lamarche-Beckley, 39, of Yorkville, was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

Feb. 4: Yorkville police responded to an armed robbery at 8 p.m. Feb. 4 in the 1000 block of Main Street. The victim was meeting with a suspect to purchase an item from an online sale when the suspect displayed a gun and stole cash from the victim. The victim was not injured.
Feb. 3: Jeffrey Fahle, 58, of the 2300 block of Sumac Drive, was cited for having a dangerous or vicious domestic animal after police were notified of an animal ordinance violation in the 500 block of Redbud Drive. Officers who arrived located a dog in a neighbor's yard and cited Fahle with the ordinance violation.

Feb. 2: Someone damaged vehicle tires in the 2500 block of Boomer Lane.
Feb. 2: Yorkville police responded to the 2800 block of Old Glory Drive for a report of a person who lost his money clip and credit/debit cards, gift cards and an Illinois driver's license.
Feb. 2: The window of a vehicle parked in the 300 block of Preston Drive was shattered with a rock by an unknown person.
