Author Event at the Yorkville Public Library

Saturday, March 28 from 10:00 - 2:00

In celebrating their 100th birthday this year, the Yorkville Public Library is planning their very first author event to be held on Saturday, March 28 from 10:00 – 2:00. The library is having 21 authors set up with tables throughout the library where people can come in to meet, chat, and even purchase one of the author’s latest books. Amy Logan, author of “A Girl with a Cape”, Evelyn Sanders Walker, author of “Fancy Girl”, Kathy Elstad, author of “The Long-Legged Turtle”, and Elizabeth Wheeler, author of “The Asher Trilogy” will be reading from their books in the Children’s Programming room during the 11:00 hour. There will also be 3 authors doing presentations on several different topics during the day. At 11:00 “Taking Recreational Writing to the Next Level” with author Jennifer Gulbrandsen will take place in the large meeting room. “What Makes a Good Mystery – Plot, Place, or People” with author Patricia Skalka is scheduled for 12:00, and finally at 1:00, “Publishing vs. Self-Publishing – That is the question” with Elizabeth Wheeler and Amy Logan will round out the speakers for the day.
