History is made as Borders Books Music and Cafe is closing.
My family and I went today for the very last time. When I used to live in Naperville I went there a lot to the store on Rte. 59 but this time we went to the store in Geneva. I think Borders has untill sometime in September to close its doors.
I had a $30 gift card that was finally used. My last Borders purchases were, Scarlet by Steven Lawhead, Son of a Witch by Gregory Mcguire and A Lion Among Men by the same author.

It's the end of an era. I said to my mom, "At least we still have Barnes and Noble." Mom said the era of the big bookstore is coming to an end and the world is turning more toward Ebooks. Luckily, I have a Kobo eReader.
Happy reading, Yorkville,
