Construction to Begin on Game Farm, Somonauk Road Improvements
Work expected to begin March 16.
The United City of Yorkville has announced that full construction for improvements to Game Farm and Somonauk roads is slated to begin on Monday, March 16.
According to the city, tree removal starts March 9, with intermittent lane closures while tree removal crews are on site.
Once construction begins on March 16, Game Farm Road between Route 34 and the north entrance of Yorkville High School will be closed to through traffic. Local traffic to homes will be allowed. The section of Game Farm Road will be closed through the end of the school year, according to the city.
