Convicted Murderer was Staying in Kendall County Shelters: Police

A tip to police helped them make an arrest.

A tip received through Kendall County Crime Stoppers let police know that a convicted murderer had been staying at various Kendall County Public Action to Deliver Shelters and not at his registered address in Springfield.

Jerome Trosclair, 61, was charged with one count of violation of the murder and violent offender against youth registration act. Bail for Trosclair was set at $75,000 with ten percent to apply, according to the Kendall County Sheriff's Office.

Trosclair was taken into custody without incident April 15 and remains in custody in the Kendall County jail. Trosclair had been convicted of two counts of murder with intent to kill or injure in 1977 in Cook County.
