Convicted Yorkville Sex Offender Fails To Register Address, Car: Police
Illinois State Police notified Yorkville officers the 49-year-old was residing in Yorkville without properly registering, officials said.

YORKVILLE, IL — A convicted sex offender was taken into custody Sept. 11 after he failed to register his Yorkville address, vehicle and telephone, police said Monday.
Yorkville police were notified last week by Illinois State Police that Monroe L. Akins, 49, was possibly residing in Yorkville without properly registering. Yorkville officers confirmed the tip, finding Akins was living in the 300 block of McHugh Road, according to a news release.
Police subsequently arrested Akins and charged him with three counts of unlawful failure to register as a sex offender.

Akins was taken to the Kendall County jail without incident and released the next day on pre-trial conditions.
