Wednesday, May 16
Found Substance
Yorkville police are investigating after a person found a bag of a leafy green substance at the 900 block of North Bridge and brought the bag to the Yorkville Police Department at 12:40 p.m. on May 16. The owner has not been located, Yorkville Police say.

Vehicle Accident
At 3 p.m. on May 16, Ana Mares-Leon, 39, of the 1300 block of Chestnut Lane was driving a 2001 Chevrolet Suburban with three young female passengers when she backed her SUV into Patricia Theurer, 63, of the 9800 block of 71st while at a stop sign at a parking lot in the 1600 block of Route 47. Seat belts were used and no hospital visits occurred, Yorkville Police say.

Domestic Battery
The Yorkville Police say they took a report of a domestic battery incident that took place at 8:08 p.m. on May 16 at Galena Road and Rownwinkel Street.
Thursday, May 17
Driving on a suspended license
Tshibangu Baseke, 50, of the 900 block of Purcell Ave. was arrested at 7:52 p.m. May 17 during a traffic stop at Route 71 and Wing Road. Yorkville Police say they discovered Baseke was driving on a suspended driver's license and she was taken to Kendall County Corrections. She's been charged with Driving on a Suspended License, police say.
Criminal damage to property
Yorkville Police say they responded to a report of criminal damage to property in the 3700 block of Bailey Road, where a victim told police his window had been shattered between 8 p.m. and 3 a.m. May 17. Nothing was reported missing.
