Yorkville Police: Downed Power Lines Reported After Morning Storm

The National Weather Service reported gusts of up to 55 mph around 7:45 a.m.

The storm that ripped through Yorkville this morning downed power lines at two locations in town and left some residents without power, Yorkville Police Chief Rich Hart said.

Power lines were reported down at Cannonball Trail and Norton Lane, which is north of the Kendall Marketplace shopping center, and on Kennedy Road near Bristol-Kendall Fire Protection District Station Two, 2101 McHugh St.

ComEd had been notified but it was unclear when crews would address the problem, Hart said.
