Downtown Overlay Meeting: Yorkville Wants Your Input

City officials want to hear what . you have to say about downtown revitalization.

YORKVILLE, IL — In 2016, the city unveiled the Yorkville Plan, a comprehensive plan for the city, with the revitalization of downtown Yorkville as a main priority. Now, city officials want to hear from you. A public meeting on the the Downtown Overlay District is set for 5:30 p.m. Feb. 15 at Yorkville High School, 797 Game Farm Road.

"The meeting will be facilitated by Farr Associates, a nationally-renowned planning and architecture firm based in Chicago," according to the United City of Yorkville website. "The workshop will discuss the project and its goals, the value of urban design, street character, and building character and scale."

Participants will be asked to give feedback in a variety of ways:

City officials say public participating in the meeting is strongly encouraged.
