Dumpster Fire Damages Building: Yorkville Police

Possession and consumption of alcohol by a minor

Abel Martin Jr., Jarrett L. Bain and Christian M. Hugunin, all 18 and from Plano, are being held on pending bond after being arrested at 12:19 a.m. May 20 and then charged with unlawful consumption of alcoholic liquor after Yorkville Police say they were investigating a report of suspicious subjects in the 1900 block of Rena Lane. Police say Abel Martin Jr. was charged with unlawful possession of alcohol by a minor. They were referred to Juvenile Probations for curfew.

Fire damage

Yorkville Police say officers and Bristol Kendall EMS were dispatched to a dumpster fire near the 120 block of Bertram Drive at 9:10 p.m. May 20. The fire caused major damage to the dumpster as well as melted some of the siding on a nearby building. The cause of the fire and amount of damage is being investigated.
