Elderly Woman Killed in Yorkville Crash
The 75-year-old woman's daughter was attempting to pass a semi when they were struck.

A 75-year-old Naperville woman was killed at around 7:38 a.m. Monday morning in a traffic crash, according to the Kendall County Coroner’s Office and Yorkville Police Department.
The name of the deceased woman is Shuging Hu, according to the coroner’s office.
Hu’s daughter was driving a black 2009 Nissan Altima southbound on Rt. 71 north of Budd Road in Yorkville when she attempted to pass a semitrailer and struck a northbound 2004 Buick.

The drivers of the Nissan and Buick were taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora. There were no other passengers in the Buick.
The coroner’s office said the accident was a result of driver error and that no alcohol, drugs or texting were involved.

Yorkville police were assisted by the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office and the Illinois Department of Transportation. An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
