The Élan Dance Company from the Naperville Park District will present a dance based on string theory at the Yorkville Public Library on Sunday, January 22, 2011, at 2 pm. This new modern dance work was first performed at the
Lubeznik Arts Center in Michigan City, IN, in connection with a showing of sculptures based on the scientific concept of string theory. In a both fun and different way, this dance illustrates where science, particularly a theory that
stresses connections, and art intersect. The performance will be introduced by the director of the company, Melissa Sallée. The performance is free and open to the public; the Library is located at 902 Game Farm Road in Yorkville.
