'Family Friend' Accused of Inappropriately Touching Oswego Township Girl
Aurora man charged with aggravated criminal sexual abuse for May 2014 incident, Kendall County Sheriff says.

An Aurora man is facing felony criminal sex abuse charges after he reportedly abused a young girl in Oswego Township, the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office announced.
Sheriff’s deputies began investigating the young girl’s claims earlier this month that she had been inappropriately touched by a family friend, identified as Rene Cortes-Lopez, 41, in the 3300 block of Stewart Road in Oswego Township.

According to a sheriff’s news release, the alleged abuse occurred on May 26, 2014 in the 3300 block of Stewart Road in Oswego Township.
Sheriff’s deputies began investigating the young girl’s claims earlier this month alleging that she had been inappropriately touched by a family friend, identified as Rene Cortes-Lopez, 41, of Aurora.

The Kendall County State’s Attorney’s Office charged Cortes-Lopez with two Class 2 felony counts aggravated criminal sexual abuse.
Aurora Police took Cortes-Lopez into custody without incident who was transported to the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office Corrections Center. Cortes-Lopez posted a $3,000 bond and awaits his next court appearance.
