Wednesday, June 17 at 7:00 pm

Continuing in the library’s 100th birthday celebration, the Yorkville Public Library is hosting a program “Forever the Tramp: A Charlie Chaplin Retrospect” on Wednesday, June 17 at 7:00 pm.

This program traces the history of Charlie Chaplin and his contribution to film. The program begins after Chaplin receives his honorary Oscar in 1972. It continues as he looks back on his legendary career as a pioneer of American film. Included in the program are his days in Chicago with Essanay Studios, his Hollywood successes, and finally, his exile in Switzerland. The program will be presented by Terry Lynch of HFK Presents and is sponsored by the Friends of the Library. For more information about HFK Presents you can visit their website at www.hfkpresents.com. No registration is required for attendance. If you have any questions about this program or any other program you can call the library at (630) 553-4354 or visit them at www.yorkville.lib.il.us.
