Former Kendall County K-9 Passes Away

The dog retired in October of 2011.

Ari, the former Kendall County Sheriff’s Office K-9 deputy, has passed away, according to the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page.

Ari was assigned to Deputy Greg Shadle of the Patrol division in 2007.

After his retirement in October of 2011, Ari was adopted by Deputy Shadle and became his personal pet.

Ari was trained in narcotics detection, tracking lost persons and in handler protection.

“Rest in peace Ari, and thank you for your service to Kendall County,” the sheriff’s office said on its Facebook page.
