Yorkville Hometown Days 2017: What You Need To Know

YORKVILLE, IL — The 25th annual United City of Yorkville Hometown Days Festival officially begins on Sept. 1, but four days of live entertainment, carnival rides and fun for the whole family kick off at 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 31 with a "Celebrate Seniors" barbecue and big band performance. Located at Beecher Community Park on Game Farm Road, the festival offers dozens of entertainment options over Labor Day weekend for just $2 — or less! Admission is free for all on Thursday and Friday, and children under age 5 get in free all weekend.

The Ultimate Air Dogs competition, where dogs leap from a dock into a pool of water, chasing a frisbee, also takes place Friday and Saturday. All are welcome to participate with their own dogs or look on as dog chase a frisbee off a dock and into a pool of water.

Location

The Hometown Days Festival is located at 901 Game Farm Road in Yorkville.

Parking

Parking is available in the following locations:

• Beecher Center
• Yorkville City Hall
• The Yorkville Public Library
• Yorkville High School
• Yorkville Freshman Academy

Admission

Admission is free for all on Thursday and Friday, and $2 after 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Children under age 5 get in free all weekend. A wristband special for unlimited carnival rides, good for 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, is available for $20.

BaggaPalooza: Saturday 12p.m. to 4 p.m. Compete in a two-person bag tournament to win cash prizes.

Car Show: Sunday 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dempsey Dodge Chrysler Jeep Pride and Joy car show.
