Guns Located in Bristol Home Invasion

The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office received assistance from numerous members of the Illinois Search and Rescue Council (SAR) in the investigation of a Home Invasion that occurred at 41 East Larkspur in Bristol.

The initial incident occurred on June 12, 2015 at about 2:53 p.m., when Kendall County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to an address in the 0-100 Block of East Larkspur, Bristol for a report of shots fired. The complainant reported that unknown subjects armed with a gun had entered their residence. The complainant was able to exit their residence and call 9-1-1.

Deputies along with Officers from Oswego, Montgomery, and Yorkville responded to the area and located four subjects who were taken into custody without incident. There were no injuries reported and there is an active investigation.

During the investigation, it was determined that some evidence may have been discarded in yards or fields in the area of the Willowbrook Subdivision. It was members of the community who provided information about the suspects, what they were wearing and the items they were carrying.

In an attempt to locate these missing items, SAR assisted with an article search for the case. The need for the search arose when investigators were unable to locate 2 firearms used in the home invasion and clothing suspected to have been worn by the suspects. The team started their search this morning and it resulted in the recovery of 2 firearms and articles of clothing that were a focus of the search. The team helped locate loaded firearms that were within a residential community. The teams quick and orderly search helped safeguard the community and our children.

The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office thanks SAR for their exemplary performance and assistance on this major case investigation.
