Head On Collision Near Yorkville, Two Injured

The accident involved a 16-year-old driver who was cited for improper passing.

NA-AU-SAY TOWNSHIP, IL — A 16-year-old driver was passing vehicles on Grove Road near Yorkville when he collided head-on with the car a 26-year-old Minooka man was driving on Thursday morning. Both were injured, according to Kendall County Now.

The 16-year-old driver from the 0-200 block of First Street in Wilmington, whose name has not been disclosed, was passing vehicles improperly, according to his citation. He struck the other driver head-on, causing non-life threatening injuries that got them both sent to Rush-Copley Medical Center.

The 26-year-old, who was also unidentified, is from the 10000 block of Grove Road in Minooka. He was travelling north when the 16-year-old crashed into him.
