Troopers from the Illinois State Police had made contact with Acosta at around midnight Friday morning when they found him walking in the area of I-94 and 87th Street. He apparently requested a ride to the CTA Red Line Station and was taken there by a trooper. Before doing so, the trooper ran Acosta’s information through a nationwide database and came back clear as Aurora police were still completing the initial missing persons report and had yet to enter him as missing. He apparently boarded a northbound train from the 87th Street/I-94 Station.
Acosta is Hispanic, 5 ft. 6 in. tall, 160 pounds with short, gray hair and black eyes. He was last seen wearing a black jacket and blue jeans.
