Hit And Run, Stolen Car: Yorkville Police Blotter
Here's what Yorkville police have been up to lately.

On Tuesday, March 13, a woman on the 1000 block of Homestead Drive left her vehicle running in her driveway for a time around noon. Somebody got in and drove off. The vehicle was later found in the 13000 block of River Road, a police report said. Police are investigating.
On Wednesday, March 14, around 6 p.m. police were notified that a juvenile boy was suspected of criminally trespassing in a vehicle, the report says, in the 200 block of E. Van Emmon Road. The boy was released to his parents.
Yorkville police found a lost cell phone while investigating an unrelated incident in the 200 block of E. Van Emmon Road. They found the phone around 6 p.m Wednesday.

Yorkville police also responded to several accidents on Wednesday:
- A deer ran into a moving vehicle around 6:45 a.m. Wednesday. The woman was driving on Galena by Blackhawk Boulevard when the deer ran into the driver's side of the car, damaging the front and rear driver's side doors. The deer was killed, but the woman was able to drive away.
- Police responded to 1745 Marketplace Drive around 1 p.m. Wednesday for a small accident in a parking lot. One driver was backing out of a parking space and didn't see the other car. There was minor damage to both vehicles and nobody was hurt.
- A Yorkville woman's Honda Accord was hit in the driver's side mirror around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday on Route 34, but it was too dark for her to get a description of the vehicle. Police are treating it as a hit and run. There were no injuries.
