Aurelio’s Pizza, the 55-year-old iconic pizzeria brand famous for its signature sauce and thin crust, has a new owner in its Morris, IL franchise location and is bringing back the taste of Aurelio’s the way Joe Aurelio himself would do it. Businessman and Chicago native Randy Arway, in pursuing a dream he has held since high school, became the owner of the Aurelio’s Pizza Morris franchise location earlier this summer.
The 3,000 sq. ft. Aurelio’s Pizza of Morris with seating for 82 is located at 1505 Creek Drive, Morris, IL 60450. Arway, whose career prior was in the lighting industry, has been busy over the summer remodeling. The refreshed Aurelio’s Morris now includes new kitchen equipment, lighting, decor and more. Plus, the interior has been painted and the restrooms remodeled. Further, he has hired staff. Most importantly, though, he’s bringing the Aurelio’s art of pizza making back to Morris and the surrounding communities.

“My love for Aurelio’s started when I was in high school visiting the Homewood store. I know what Aurelio’s should be like and taste like. Before me, this location didn’t provide the community the Aurelio’s experience. I am changing that,” said Randy Arway, Aurelio’s Morris franchise location owner. “I have been getting the store in order from top to bottom and bringing back Aurelio’s pizza making the way Joe Aurelio would do it. I can’t wait for the community to experience the new Aurelio’s Pizza and I hope they’ll come out October 2 for the Grand Re-Opening celebration.”
“We are thrilled to welcome Randy Arway into the Aurelio’s family. He loves Aurelio’s pizza and passionately pursues quality,” said Kirk Mauriello, COO, Aurelio’s. “Randy’s values align perfectly with the Aurelio’s brand, which is about honoring and celebrating families, maintaining company and product authenticity, being part of the community and realizing corporate responsibility.”

In addition, the Morris location is paying particular attention to its gluten free pizzas. Being educated in gluten free cooking is important to Randy as his wife Judy and many of his family members have Celiac disease. Further, he and his wife look forward to being involved in the community through the schools, hospitals and nonprofit charities.
