Juveniles Injured After School Bus Drives Over Large Rock

The 44-year-old Oswego bus driver was on private property at the time of the incident.

Yorkville, IL — A few juveniles were injured after a school bus ran over a large rock and passengers fell from their seats.

According to the Yorkville Police Department, 14 juveniles were on board when the bus driver, a 44-year-old Oswego man from the 1400 block of Light Road, hit a rock with the right front tire while on private property in the 7400 block of Mill Road at 11:45 a.m. Friday.

“The juvenile passengers on the bus were jolted and some fell from their seats,” police said.

Some passengers had injuries and were taken to a doctor by their parents at a later time, police said.
